Top Donors by Band

From your dashboard, open Reports in the left-hand menu, then select Top Donors by Band.

The Top Donors by Band report helps you quickly understand how giving is distributed across your donor base. This view groups donors into preset contribution ranges (or “bands”) and shows both how many donors fall into each range and how much they’ve given overall.

What You’ll See:

Range
These are the preset donation brackets (for example, $1k or less, $1k–$5k, $5k–$10k, etc.).

Count
The number of donors who gave within each band.

Total
The total dollar amount given by donors in that band.

% Givers
The percentage of your total donor base that falls into each band.

% Giving
The percentage of your total giving that comes from each band.


At the top of the page, you’ll also see a semi-circle chart that provides a quick visual snapshot of how giving is distributed across all bands. This chart updates automatically as more giving data is collected.

Filters & Options:

  • Use the date filter at the top to narrow the report to a specific time period.

  • Select a merchant from the top-right dropdown if you manage multiple organizations.

  • Check Include Manual Transactions if you want manually entered or imported transactions included in the report.

This report is especially helpful for understanding donor concentration, planning stewardship strategies, and identifying opportunities for donor growth and engagement.
